My first Case. model 18222 med. stockman

Hello all, i finally took the plunge and bought a Case, model 18222. here are some pics.

My only other traditional knife is this, a HI kukri, 35 oz balance, 16" OAL

Congrats! I like the rounded bolsters & muskrat clip blade on that one.

Nice looking CASE. I my opinion, the medium stockman is a pattern you don't get too far away from if you are a carrier of American traditional patterns.

From the folks I know, they seem to have followed the same path I did. You will get bigger knives, smaller knives, knives with heavier blades, different grinds, etc., but you won't do that much better. So back to the medium stockman you will probably go in your regular rotation. It's one handy pattern!
