My first Case

Great knife you have there I have two of those and a reg Sodbuster. Had all 3 sent to bark river knife and tool and had a crazy edge put on them

Soddie Jr is a fine knife. Now ya need to get a yellow handled, Soddie Jr in CV steel.

Congrats and enjoy! Also, a hearty welcome to you to the Reprobates and Crumudgeons (of all ages) Preservation Society. (I just made that up.)

A bit off topic but I am curious - does Bark River offer a sharpening service? I was thinking that for Queen slipjoints in D2, it would be great to just send them somewhere to at least have the basic edge profiles done rather than me spending hours on it.

Any info as to costs and how to contact them would be appreciated.

I have a Queen moutain man that i sent in and they hooked it up. Just ask them

I just bought my first Case today. A sodbuster junior with the black handle. I am very pleased with it.

Soddies are near and dear to my heart.

Amos is right, you now have to get a yellow CV Case to go with it. And then you owe it to yourself to try an Eye-Brand yellow soddie...

Steve, if you need some reprofiled send me an email. My Edgepro makes it easy. Larry

JMO, but if I were to send a knife off for sharpening, I'd have to do it the next time too, because I find it easy to hold my own angles once I get them ground in, but hard to do someone elses sometimes.

Case knives are very easy to sharpen with just stones. Even Queen's D2 is not that much worse that any carbon blade that is ground poorly to start with. I have a big old D8C diamond plate, and if any of them aggravate me enough I will break it out.

I was thinking the same thing!

Larry...appreciate the offer!! I am waiting on a shipment of several Queen knives. I plan to give several as gifts but I would like to have them profiled first. Will be in touch when I get them.

Steve
