Hi I'm Joe and I'm a knifeaholic. Now I might be a Caseaholic. I have been looking at all the nice slip joints on here so I finally found the right one for me to start with. It reminds me of one my grandfather always carried. It's the yellow CV peanut. Got it at bass pro for around $35. The guy that sold it to me said I just missed out on a peanut with mother of pearl and flutted bolsters on clearance for $20. He said the employees snatched them up.

Welcome to the Forums and the world of Case Knives.
Nice pick of a Great Knife.:thumbup:

I have that same knife in my yellowhandle collection. I love those yellowhandle cv's. I think you will love the knife and as it patina's you will become a CV junkie.

you are so doomed, sure it starts off with the peanut{exc choice} then it's a tiny trapper. Before you know it you'll have to have a medium stockman with yellow scales and cv steel and before you know it you'll be consumed by the need for the ultimate knife, the sodbuster. stop now or you'll never be able to. I know, I am a knifeaholic.

Won't be your last either! Consistent quality and range are CASE'S great strengths.

I have one very similar to that but fairly old. It was given to me by a very good American friend who has since died. It lives permanently in my jacket pocket and is never used. It's sort of like a good luck charm.

Welcome to the forums. Like Ahgar said, you're doomed now. Case slipjoints are like Pringles, "Once you pop, you just can't stop".

I'm 20 or 30 case knives deep at this point and I think I'm a beginner around here. Mr. Hargis I'm afraid you just took the first step of a very expensive journey!!

Welcome to traditional knives, Joe. You now have one of the nicest pocket knives on the planet. Carry it and use it well, and a year from now you'll know why your grandad carried on like it.:)

Thanks guys, I am already wanting more. I like the tiny trapper for its size but i wonder if it would get lost in my pockets. They had a yellow mini-trapper in CV for around 35 also. I may have to go back and get it. Also on clearance a red jigged bone peanut with SS.
