I thought that you might enjoy seeing the first Chris Reeve knife I ever owned.

I ordered this from Chris in Durban in 1984 when he was still making knives in a garage in the back of the apartment block in which he lived. He delivered it fast (as I recall)

It is 440B with Tamboti wood on the handle and matching sheath. The little pins are silver.

It is one of the earliest custom knives he ever made and the first custom knife I ever owned.

Wow,what a beautiful knife & an even more amazing collectible.

I'm speechless, it was obvious from back in the day that this man is a genius. Thank You for preserving and showing us this piece of CRK history.

Thank you for your gracious words........:)

One of the things that people often forget about Chris is that apart from being a design and manufacturing genius, he is also a bloody brilliant custom knife maker.

His custom knives were mostly designed with practicality and use in mind. Although often basic, they were always beautifully made.

I doesn't look like you use it much. :p

Once I began using my Case Peanut for batoning I put this one away!:D

Thank you all for your kind words. I have one or two more 'oldies' I will post up in the near future............:)
