My wife in all her awesome awesomeness bought me a brand spanking new sebenza 21 today. It is my first crk knife and I am loving it! I already put it on the edge pro. I finally get it. This thing is quality through and through.

Thank you l will. I've been piney away for one for a long time. I was torn between the diamond plate one and the classic. I went with the classic cause I love the way they patina

That is awesome news. Most of the CRK I have I bought I bought myself, but 2 of them I received as gifts from someone special and they are ones that stand out and will forever have a special meaning to me.........Enjoy your First CRK......You are now Hooked......!!!

Enjoy it. While I like inlays and graphics, it is my plain Sebenza's that I enjoy most often. I can't explain it, but as they acquire scratches, they get better.

Good job on going with the plain over the diamond plate, and congrats on having a wife that "gets it". lol ;) Mind if I ask what angle you went with on the EP?

My plain jane Lg 21 clip pt has the same b-day! :) It's become my favorite knife, no question. Congrats! Nice edge!

Congratulations-that is a gift you will cherish for a lifetime. I also think you made a good selection with the plain Sebenza. There are some fine CGG out there but it can be difficult choosing one that you won't tire of. The plain will just take on character as you both age together.

Definitely a keeper; that is the wife of course :)
I would hang on the knife for a long time as well.

I just went with the stock angle for now. I am gonna see how well it holds up to abuse. I generally like to go 30* inclusive but with the sebenzia having a heat treat that is below 60 I want to see how the wears. If I am happy with it I will probally reprofile. But I think it is right at 18* per side out of the box.

Everyone else thanks. I used it a lot today. I'm the knife guy at work so I always get asked what new knife I have on a given day. Today I spent my day as I'm sure many of you have trying to explain why their $20 knife is not in fact just as good. One coworker said it was to much like art to carry. While it is very beautiful it is still a seriously we'll build knife and I intend to use it as such

Congratulations on your first Sebenza. Many may come and go, but you'll always keep this one

Is it socially acceptable to engrave it? My wife asked if she could have my name engraved on it. I've never actually seen it done. I think it would be cool. Would it void my warranty? I think she suggested it so that she can be sure I'll keep the knife. I have ensured her it's a keeper forever but past practices give her her doubts. But never the less the idea does sound pretty cool to me

I've seen personally engraved knives from CRK so I'm sure they'd be glad to do it for you.
