While I've purchased and owned several CRK knives, I just scored my first large Classic Sebenza. I purchased this knife from True North Knives. This was my first purchase from TNK, and Mr. Ostroff treated me right!

It was the damascus steel of this particular knife that first caught my eye. I had to have it. Here are a couple of photos. They are from the TNK site. I hope Mr. Ostroff doesn't mind my using them:

GoodGuy out.

Very nice! Neil is a very good person to deal with! He's got a great selection of left hand Sebenzas.

I see knives like this and it begs a question. You don't actually use this knife do you? I just can't imagine carving away at something with a knife that beautiful.

WOW !! what a knife. Congrats:thumbup:
Are the inserts leather, micarta, g-10, or what???

It's actually a "stainless" damascus made by Devin Thomas and is known as spirograph damascus. The inserts are navy blue calf skin.

I'll use this knife but will certainly not abuse it.

TNK's got an amazing selection, period -- it's one of my favorite places to drool . . . For Neil, being both an avid CRK collector and a merchant, it must be tough to sell such nice pieces!

Gorgeous knife GoodGuy, I've dealt with Neil a couple of times and he is nice to deal with.

Please forgive me forumites for a kinda dumb question, but, how does damascus stand up to EDC style duties? Not hard use but regular, apple cutting, cutting packages open, etc.? I have gotten to the point that I would like to add a Sebenza with Devin Thomas damascus but am concerned about ruining the blade somehow. My blades get used with respect but ALL of them are users. Experiences please, thank you.:)

Well... according to the TNK website, the blade is Devin Thomas stainless spirograph damascus. I'll take the site's word for that. Regardless... I think it's mighty pretty!

Appreciate your comments. I know I'm "preaching to the choir," but sometimes one sees a knife (or rifle, etc.) that one just must possess. That's what I felt when I saw it on TNK. It was pricey, but what the hell....

Wow, when you get your first Sebbie, you really go all out!! That is a beautiful knife!!
