Hi All,

I just received my first convex\rolled edge, the Fallkniven A2. This will be my first knife with a rolled edge. I'm pretty new when it comes to sharpening. I have a Sharpmaker and a stone. I was hoping someone can tell me the proper way to sharpen a convex edge? Hell, any tricks to sharpening at all?
Thanks,
Joe

Fallkniven actually recommends applying a v-ground bevel to their knives. This is how the convex ground blades that I have handled like the H1 are sharpened NIB. To keep the full convex curvature with a flat stone you just arc the blade over it on a draw (usually easier than a push), and try to match the curvature by feel. It isn't as difficult as it sounds.
