Yep, I know I know, corporate sponsorships are extremely elusive in the knife maker's world. So much so that those who get them are usually looked upon with jealousy and ill will. Those lucky bastids! we all say to ourselves when it happens on that rare occasion, usually to someone else. That's why I hope nobody gets catty about this, especially since I didn't even go looking for one, they called me!! That's right, got a call from a new sports drink company that is gearing it's new ad campaign exclusively towards knife makers and they asked me to be the spokesperson! I was honored to receive such an esteemed invitation.

Of course, I accepted! Here is a picture of the first swag they sent me for being their spokesperson, a mighty fine T-shirt if you ask me. It was free if you must know. I think this is just the tip of the iceberg, boys! Good things are coming:thumbup:

No, but it helps prevent dehydration when grinding for six straight hours in a 50C shop. (120F)

Haha very cool Jonny congratulations! Does it contain Virgin sweat and unicorn blood?

well, it was cool while it lasted guys:( Apparently there is already some other sports drink with this same logo. Some kind of beverage geared towards athletes or something....I don't know....something "ade" Oh yea, Gatorade! That's it, anybody ever heard of it?? It didn't ring a bell with me. It seems they've slapped some sort of a copyright lawsuit on the good folks at Grinderade. I don't think I'll be getting that paycheck after all, and from what I've heard from the guys at corporate, I don't get my life long supply of the drink or any more free shirts either!:grumpy: I guess the one I've got is a collector's item or something. Maybe I'll auction it off.

Oh well, looks like I'm back to being on my own again (sigh). Maybe one day I'll score another sponsorship. Hopefully next time it will be Pabst Blue Ribbon!!!:D

Aww, but Johnny, it's for the best. All those sweet, nubile babes, booze, and drugs wood'a affected your grind. Your woodie wood'a been gone, your cash too for a song, and the walk home too long.:)

Quoted for truth, Dave. Quoted for truth:cool: Thanks for keeping me on target here!

Jonny: Sorry for your demise! It reminds me of something a welder that worked for me once spouted - he would squint one eye like Popeye and say: "The sun don't shine up the same dog's ass every day."

Woof, Woof
