Was excited to open up the package, received my first CPK - a D2 EDC in black micarta. I can see why there is the "hype" surrounding this knife/brand, it's pretty amazing. Feels great in the hand, very solid quality feel to it but still lightweight. The scales blend perfectly with the handle spine, can barely feel where one ends and the other starts. I actually really like the horizontal sheath too, I was a little worried about it being really stiff and hard to get out. But just like in the video that Nathan provides of the sheath options, it's pretty easy to take out after trying it a few times. It stays very firmly in place, but lift up and out and there isn't any issues removing. Knife came extremely sharp out of the box and the blade finish looks top notch. Overall excellent. To you guys here this is probably all old news/heard it beofre, but as a newbie to the CPK line of knives, I am very happy I was able to get one. Now I need to go find something to cut! :D:thumbup:

Congrats !! That's a sweet score !!

That would be my choice for a handle. Beautiful!
One of these days...good things come to those who wait. Anything worth having, is worth waiting for.

My D2 came in today also and it was the same size as the 3v, so it fit my Lowe pocket sheath. Nathan is an artist when it comes to a duty driven blade.

Very cool! I am going to try really hard to get one of their 4V offerings when it comes up for sale. Would love to see that one in the next size bigger, I think that would be the field knife?

Thank you! And you are so right: "Anything worth having, is worth waiting for." That is a great quote.

I'm hoping mine shows up tomorrow.
