hello all,

im a long time bf member and first time knifemaker. im thinking about getting the makers membership.
i have a belt grinder and kiln on the way and my first creation is complete. i will not take credit for the grind however because it wasnt done by me. scott gossman has been nice enough to indulge my creative fancy by performing this lovely convex grind.
it was inspired by the nessmuk, one of my favourite designs. theres something about the flowing lines contained in this classic that inspired me. all i added was a slight modern twist....

shes 1/4 o-1 wrapped in black and tan g-10.
please let me know what you think.

Interesting design.
I assume you did the overall profiling and shapping/creating/attaching of the handle.

Nice start. Try a tappered tang next time.

Usually not my favorite style, but I really like that knife! Looks like it will fil the hand nicely!

Great first knife!

it does. and the balance is right on also. the blade is thick ,but it is so wide that the knife tapers to a very fine edge.

I'm not terribly familiar with this type of knife, but it looks like you've done a very nice job by any measure and particularly well for a first try.
