My first CRK was a large Insingo too!!! It was not my last CRK!! ;)

Congrats.
That is an amazing knife. Superior cutting ability and great construction. What more can you ask for.
Enjoy!

Congratulations on the Insingo, put it to good use and let us know what CRK you buy next. CRK's are like Lay's Potato Chips, no one just can have one :)

For me they are more like cheese burgers than chips. I cant just have one of those.
Very nice Rukus BTW. I wish I could get another. Not sure if that is discontinued. It looks nice next to the CRK.

Thanks everyone. I bought it a few days ago off the exchange here. I feel as though I got a good deal. It has an S30V blade and I am ok with that. I have never had trouble sharpening it, and like most have said I probably couldn't tell the difference between S30V and S35VN anyway. The seller said it was only ever stropped and barely carried. I do believe that as it has just a few marks on the pocket clip. He did clean off the blue anodizing from the thumbstud and backspacer, which I prefer the silver look. It was a bit dirty overall, so I took it apart and cleaned it and lubed it up with Militec-1 as I don't have any CRK Fluorinated Grease yet. Now that it is all clean it is much smoother. I will get some CRK grease soon and try that out. The only problem I had with it was that it had a small roll on the edge about a half inch from the tip. I broke out my sharpmaker and cleaned up the edge taking out the roll. It is VERY sharp and now its time to strop it while watching some tv. Does anyone have any advice on how to get a mirror edge?

So here are some initial impressions:
- It is very light for a folder this size
- The swedge is sharper than I expected
- It rides in the pocket much nicer than expected and even though it is large I don't feel it at all. I had to check a few times to make sure it was still there.
- I love that I can take it apart whenever I want to clean it and re-lube it. It was a big reason why I wanted a Sebenza for so long. I am a big benchmade fan and love the axis lock but it always bothered me that if you took your knife a part it would void the warranty.
- The Insingo Blade shape is very very nice and I can tell already that I am really going to like it and that it is going to be a great slicer.
- My wife who doesn't really like knives nor does she understand why I do or why I would pay any money for one said "It really looks nice in person" She then was surprised by the weight of the knife and how smooth it opened.

It does take time. But on my old 21 I sold just a week or so ago.
I went from the sharpmaker . Worked to the flats on the whites. Then moved to my Stropman strop. Black Rouge. Followed by the green. Which I still use on my current EDC. It gets you about 90% to that mirror finish. Honestly I stop there. Perfect for all my needs.
Its does take some time and an easy hand on the sharpmaker. If you want to get it all the way. Just use 2000 grit paper after the whites. Then strop and you will be darn close. It will more than likely take some time to shine up the edge. That might dull it a little bit after alot of time on the strop. Just hit the 2000 grit real easy again and strop one last time on the green, white or red and you will be all set.

Thanks Matt,
I almost bought that 21 you had up, but I wanted an Insingo blade. I have been looking into a strop man in the last few days and that might be my next knife related purchase.

If i would have seen that i would have bought it, congrats. I like the old insingo's with S30V, mostly because of the blade finish and sterile look.

Gotta love the large plain insingo. If you have not cut a piece of fruit up with this knife, you haven't really lived. ;)
