My first CRK knife

Got my first CRK knife (Umnumzaan) the otherday. I'm pretty use to having auto's and assisted opener's and this is actually my first manuel opening knife. I figured i would try something different then i am use to and after weeks of deciding i purchased this Umnumzaan. I gotta say it is a beautiful knife and is definately a keeper. I think it might become my new EDC knife. Everyone's thoughts on the Umnumzaans would be appreciated. I think its a great knife, nice smooth opening, super sharp, rock solid lock up. I will post some pics later on when i get home.

I think the Umnumzaan is a great knife. Whenever my activities preclude office work, I it is my preferred EDC. In the office/school I usually EDC a Sebenza.

You are from Tucson, so I don't think that you will run into this, but I honestly can't wait for winter to start. I think the swedge will make scraping an inch of ice off of windshields much easier.

The only criticism I have is that the pocket clip is placed too close to the top of the lockbar. It digs into my fingers whenever I grip it hard. On the Sebenza, the clip is further down, preventing this from happening.

All in all, it is a very robust knife, with a very smooth opening. The ceramic ball is ingenious. The pattern cut into the scales offer increased grip over a plain jane Sebenza.
 
The Umnum is a great knife, thick blade, smooth opening, it just oozes quality. Now that you got your first CRK I am sure that more are to come;)

Yes it is agreat knife i am really impressed with it all around.:thumbup::thumbup:

And yes now i am already thinking of getting a Sebenza or 2:D
 
I like the look of the Um, but opted for the sebenza. I really like the pivot bushing design on the seb, plus its aesthetics just work for me. If i had a bunch of extra cash, id like to try and Um out :)
