Good morning everyone,

I have been a member with BF for many years, but rarely post. I read your reviews. I listen to your advice. I admire your photography. I'm glad to know you guys are out there doing what you do. Thanks for the years of great posts.

Today, I get to post some great news of my own. Thanks to eBay and a great seller who goes by charleso1958, I was able to get my first CRK Large Sebenza with black Micarta inlays. The price was fair and the seller answered all my questions quickly.

With his permission, I am including his photos.

I have an extensive hoard of some great knives, but there is no doubt, Chris Reeve is king. Happy to now be a member of this elite group of owners/users.

Gratz on your 21.....A plain 21 is on my next to buy. I went with a 25 as my first Sebenza. Enjoy it.

Congratulations - looks like a fine knife!

Congrats on your first CRK. They are truly amazing. The one you picked sure is nice looking. It looks like the front scale has been acid washed or something. Do you know?

I don't know. I expect it to be delivered tomorrow. We'll see.

Beautiful stuff.

Holding a CRK is unlike anything I've ever experienced with knives or other things for that matter. They are beautiful on so many levels and a pleasure to hold and use. It's when you hold them, use them and experience them over time that you really understand what a Chris Reeve knife is about.

Congratulations and welcome to the club!

Now thats a user! My first was a plain large 21. Of all my sebenzas its still the one i carry most (although its takjng a backseat for the moment to a special crk), i almost went w the micarta large as my first crk, its on the list haha. Enjoy it, youd be surprised how much use they can take and still look relatively new. Thats one of the things i love about my large plain. 3 years of carry and use everyday and it still looks great. Snail trails, scratches and all. Just adds charachter. Enjoy it man, and have fun using it. Each mark you make on it will be a day to remember.

Congratulations, no doubt you'll like the inlays. I just read that the micarta inlays can be sent in to be refinished if you choose to make it look new again. Personally, I thinks it's sexy having a CRK that has personality. I like it a lot. Enjoy it!!!

When I took it out of the box, I was feeling a rush come over me. I was thrilled to see it there in front of me. Finally! My first Sebenza has made it! Here it is. Then I touched it. I picked it up and was struck by how light it is for its size. It's so very light! For it's dimensions, I would have expected it to be heavy clipped onto my pocket. It's just not. What a great joy to carry. I love the Micarta insets. Lightly textured, but effective. The clip is snug but easy to use. And I love the sounds it makes. Much like a Zippo lighter, it has a unique voice that calls out quality. I don't mean to compare them exactly, just the way you recognize a Zippo when you hear it. This sound speaks to us in much the same way. I am so proud to own this knife. It is not going to be a "safe queen" in my collection, though. This is a friend & trusted companion on my journeys. Glad I finally made it! Thanks for sharing my moment with me.

Congratulations. A year from now when the handle is scuffed up and the washers have worn smooth you will love it even more. Use it in good health.
