Whatsup guys!

Iv been a knife lover for many years. Iv been into Microtechs since 09' and I have 7 different MT blades. (love em!) ...Iv had my eye on a sebenza 21 for a few years now...so I have spent more than a sebbie cost on a few Microtechs, so I dont think it was the cost that was steering me away. I think I had it in my head that the Sebenza was too basic to spend 400+ on. It was something I always wanted, but for some reason I never came to purchase one. Im also a lefty, and the Sebenza is def. not a switch hitter! Once I realized that they made a lefty version I was on a mission. the CRK bug had bitten me directly in the ass, and off I went to find a good deal on one. I got out bid on a few "used" lefty sebenzas on ebay, but I finally found a brand new one in stock, lefty, large, and free shipping!

I just got my lefty large Sebbie 21 yesterday, and boy, what a f***in great knife this is! exactly what I came to expect after watching SOOOOO many videos on youtube, reviews, write ups, HD macro pics n videos (Im sure some of you reading this were responsible for those great vids, thank you!)...still didnt completely do it justice...this knife was waaay nicer once I got it in hand. Its pretty funny how used to right handed knives I have become. Im a TOTAL lefty, but I guess Im so used to the right handed knife world that it almost seemed funny to use a lefty only knife...didnt take long at all before I love it to death.

the biggest thing that sold me on CRK aside from the obvious, was the customer service. my microtech blades basically get no play because Im afraid of messing up my blade and not having any support from the company (not to mention most are illegal to cary anyway!) so when I found out that CRK is a smaller company who are really passionate about thier knives, I got good vibes from that. This 21 is going to be my EDC...the spydercos are getting benched. I really love everything about this Sebenza. I can really see what everyone means by the closest tolerances, not to mention suuuper sharp factory edge...its super evident when you have a 21 in hand. and really, I love the idea that I can send my knife in anytime for a touch up...I feel much more confident knowing that I can use the shit out of this knife, and after time, just send it in to get scratches buffed out of the handle, or get the blade resharpened or re finished. Thats something that was totally missing from my MT obsession...knowing that I can use this knife everyday, and be able to get it restored back to mint with a very fair fee. anyone care to share some awesome stories about sending in a sebbie and getting it all freshened up? Im really looking forward to using this knife as an EDC...just alot of box opening, pallet strap and wrapping cuts, paper, plastic....medium duty. The blade shape is out of this world to me, and literally seems perfect for everyday tasks ahead.

I also have my first strider on the way, an SNG. Im really digging the supreme customer service that these 2 brands offer. something that I never had with MT...piece of mind. I plan on getting the CRK belt case too, so I dont have to worry about losing it! for now shes in one of my MT belt cases for a socom elite, it actually fits PERFECT!

I got so much to say, cant even think of it all right now. Im really happy that I lost my microtech tunnel vision, and branched out to CRK (and strider)..heres some pics...

Thanks for checkin out my thread fellas! I plan on doin alot of posting here. ;)

Congrats on the Seb! It will no doubt serve you well. As for the customer service, it is second to none IMHO. I have sent a few folders off for spa treatment over the years and they always exceed my expectations upon return. CRK's workmanship is absolutely incredible and the results have reflected that 100% of the time in my experience. Welcome to the CRK nation!

Congratulations on joining the CRK family! I'm sure that your Sebenza will serve you well for the rest of your life.

I enjoyed reliving the excitement of buying your first Sebenza. It really is a thrill the first time you hold one. But be careful! As much as you love the first one, it seems you always "need" just one more. Kinda like potato chips!

Welcome aboard, and enjoy the ride! :D

I've found a small and large Sebbie 21 have displaced all the knives in my collection, no joke. I love the fact that it is dead simple to break down and clean, and the blade centers every time on re-assembly.

Congrats! piece of mind is the main thing in my book. I have eyeballed some MT but I'm not sure they will have my back in case I need them and for that reason I have not pulled the trigger. Congrats on your Sebbie and also congrats on the SnG (great blade)

Like you, I spent years watching Sebenza Youtube videos, along with Strider, Hinderer and allllllll the rest. I decided that I wanted to own a large Sebenza 21, XM-18 and SNG dgg and determine which I enjoyed the most. Having FINALLY owned each, I feel confident that my large Sebenza 21 w/ micarta inlays will ALWAYS be my favorite knife. It's classy in look and feel, yet completely solid and capable of hard-use. In my opinion, it's literally the perfect knife! I was able to afford the SNG dgg and Sebenza at the same time, so now I'm just trying to figure out if I want to keep the SNG or sell it. I love the knife, but with my other addictions (guns, flashlights, ect.), I almost feel like my quest for the perfect knife is complete...which is such a satisfying feeling. Congrats on your new acquisitions, hope your Sebbie treats you as well as mine has me.

Thanks for all the kind words guys!! Iv been hearin lots about hinderer, Im sure that will be next!! Im very excited to be part of the group. Iv been obsessed w knives since I was a little bitty boy lol. My father was big into guns, I went the knife route..(altho I have all of his pistols and rifles too, some amazing ones I might add. :)) My next Sebbie will probly be a large micarta. Im wondering if I'll stick w lefty or not, dont get me wrong, I love it, Im just SOOOO used to righty knives, even tho I can hardly take a piss w my right hand haha. I think with time, Ill end up favoring the lefty, I can feel it alrdy.

few more...

**BBW** by the way, pull the trigger on some MTs, you wont regret it, they really are built very very well, you shouldnt even need any service. I can tell you, if you get a Socom Elite...youll have a hard time deciding what to EDC!! it does suck tho because they almost always use propriatary hardware...doesnt combo well with the sub par CS department (so I've heard anyway, no personal exp.) I'll probly end up posting some pics of my whole blade collection on here soon. only about 9-10 blades, but all top of the line productions. quality over quantity lol.

Wanted to say my sebenza flicks open SOO fast yet still just as tight when reg stud openening, not flickin. But i can get this pup sooaarin out w the stud...heard some ppl say you cant do that...i can :)...altho the blue is alrdy starting to come off the tip of the stud...just barely tho. I push hard lol. Btw, zero thought of blade play and same fresh out box lock up. Thought id tighten the pivot thinking it was alil loose, but nah...tighter than a nun n the blades off like a prom dress! :p

Anyone else flick em out lighting fast a week after new, w no adjusting and no loosening of blade?? Jw. check this pic...super late lockup but still a breeze to close. God i love this knife!

quick question guys, is it possible to get a large left handed Sebenza 21 with the insingo blade and micarta scales? haven't been able to find 1 online, also wondering if you can get the insingo blade in Damascus? But more importantly a lefty insingo blade, micarta would be great.

Thanks!!
