My first custom .. BG-42.....

Today was a good mail day.. I was able to pick up a Custom 110 that was listed in the trade section, and it arrived today.

Oak with the BG-42 blade :D .. The Oak wouldn't be my first choice if I was ordering a new one, but it looks nice. I've wanted to try this steel after hearing all the good reviews on it.
It also came with a Lifter horizontal sheat. Very nice sheath. I haven't used one like this though, so I'm not sure how I will like it.

The knife will be going on my belt tomorrow for its first journey....

Thanks Ed. I wish it had some Ram like the one you just got though. That is really sweet looking.
 
She's a beauty! Dont let the oak bother you at all, its the BG-42 that will make her shine ;) Enjoy using it!

I threw out some suggestions for trade but didn't have anything he was interested in, So he offered to sell it. I really hadn't planned on spending much money on knives right now because work has been slow, but I knew they don't come up for sale often , especially with the BG-42 ...

I told the wife if she put some Cayan pepper and peanuts in Top Raman, we can eat on the cheap and it will be like going out for Chinese every night :D

ha ha - hey don't feel bad I eat Raman with left over meat loaf, old chicken and hardboiled eggs....it isn't too bad! Leaves me with some knife money too!
 
That Oak can come off...No problem! Theres a few guys here who can put something else on it..
