Well, after an extended absence from the forums, I'm back!!

Made it to the SECKS show in Winston Salem this past Sept. Great time, even brought new girlfriend with me. She likes knives!

Back to the subject......I am the proud owner of a Tom Anderson Sandpiper with Maroon handles. #25 according to Tom himself. I think I talked him to death for an hour before I HAD to have that Sandpiper.

I'm in the field right now and have been using the $#@% out of my baby. No complaints at all, it fits exactly what I was looking for. And yes, I am one of the few who LOVE the Wharncliffe blade design.

By the way, a special thanks to Tom for the earrings for my girlfriend. She wears them all the time!!

Congratulations on your new knife and welcome to another fellow Wharncliff fan. Hope you enjoy your knife ( my bet is that you will) and the forums.

Good to hear you are enjoying your new knife. I really like wharncliff blades too and have been admiring Tom's work for some time now.

That's great Dave. As a matter of fact, I just got my first custom yesterday. It is a Tom Anderson Papoose with black g10. He makes an awesome knife! Does anyone know his website?
Thanks,
Matt

I recently purchased my first custom folder that was in mint condition from a collector. It is an early Brad Duncan Warncliffe type blade in 420V. I didn't think I would like at first but the design grows on you. I like it a lot and don't have any intentions of getting rid of it. This is my first experience in sharpening/using 420V and it seems that it is going to be excellent on holding an edge.
