It has been my great honour and privilege to collaborate with fellow BladeForums member Defaultuser--an excellent fella who makes excellent knives all by hand. When I saw some photos of his work that hed posted in a thread about friction folders, I simply had to contact him and ask if hed consider making one for me. He graciously agreed.
A few months and several e-mails back and forth later, he arrived at my door this morning to deliver the finished product in person and conclude our arrangement with a good ol fashioned handshake. From start to finish, I could not have asked for a better experience!
The blade was shaped and ground full-flat (all by hand) from CPM154 steel that was later heat-treated to around 59-60 Rockwell. The scales are natural linen micarta, and the pocket clip is titanium. Note the super-cool bottle opener incorporated into the exposed tang
If youre reading this, Default, thanks again for exceeding all of my expectations! Amazing job, sir!
