I'm afraid I've started down a dangerous road,I just got my first custom folder.
I've read some good things about Jim Burke knives so I checked his site, and really liked the number 2 utility. $200 I thought that was a good price, what with the prices on many standard production knives.
Mine is g-10,ats 34 and titanium, pretty standard so far. What drew me to it was its big and strong, and to top it off Jim used thicker liners on mine because, well I like 'em big and strong. Not only that but he cuts the tang not just at an angle but at somewhat of a curve so that liner lock will never slip all the way over.
I'm not much of a "reviewer",but what I looked for when I got it was a centered blade, smooth opening, even grinds, solid lock up,its all there.Over all fit and finish sure seems good to me.The handle is very comfortable and secure,it has a front finger grove for your index finger and the other end kind of sweeps up a little also, this really "locks"your hand to the knife.
I'm glad I got this knife and when I did for the price has gone up and the wait may have also, and I got the feeling, based on my knife that they'll keep going up....
