I just received my first custom knife! It's a hog! I got it from Jody Muller at Muller Forge. It has a 1080 forged blade, a redwood lace handle, engraved guard and makers mark. The blade also has a very nice temper line. The fit and finish is awesome! Jody has been a pleasure to talk and do business with. He answered all my questions and even returned phone calls (something I'm not used to)! Thanks again Jody!!! You guys can check out a few pictures of the knife at the links below.

Well, without clicking on the links, I KNEW it would be a sweet knife, since Jody Muller made it. Clicking on the links confirmed my thinking, as that is one sweet hunter/skinner! That wood is, IMHO, some of the nicest looking wood I've ever seen. This one gets a huge thumbs up from me. :)

By the way, excellent pics. I think I've just found myself a new desktop background. ;) :)

Very Nice Piece! Jody is turning out some top grade knives.

I'm also glad to hear he's answering questions and returning phone calls.:D

What a great choice for a first custom. Everything about it tells you why customs are so great--the knife, fit & finish, the interactions with the maker, just great. Have fun with it.

Thanks for the comments and to Mark for the great pics. Hope you get to chop up a big bull elk with it.
