So i finally got tired of buying various sub par knives from Amazon.com and Walmart and decided to buy a knife that i could be proud of.

After a week of research, i finally decided that i wanted a drop point knife made of D2 steel, with a flat grind and a convex edge.

Below is the final product. It was made by Mike Conner over on Texashuntingforum, and i think it turned out beautifully. I was amazed at how reasonable his price was. He customized it in every single way i requested.

Oal is 7 7/8"
Blade length is just over 4"
Blade thickness is .156"

Comments are welcome :)

thanks guys. I don't know how it stacks up against other customs, but i payed less than 200 for it including a sheath made to order (i had some very specific requests), and shipped to my door.

I think it's beautiful, and Mike was incredibly tolerant of my constant minor changes and question. He even went so far as to send me pics of it from start to finish updated with his progress every day.

Looks like you got a fine piece at a good value.
Congratulations and welcome to custom knives.

it's so gratifying to have a knife custom made to spec, that you will find yourself hopelessly addicted to the pursuit of the 'perfect knife', (in parentheses because 'perfect' changes constantly).
Welcome to the club.

i'm extremely proud of it. I'm glad to know that the experts agree with my feelings on it's quality
