I have been collecting high end production knives (Sebenza, Microtech, etc.) for a while and finally got my first custom, which I am very proud of

.

It is a Tom Mayo TNT, #10, standard size with JF style blade, that I acquired in absolutely mint/new condition from another forum member. Thanks Greg!

Thanks to Tom Mayo (Rocket Scientist and all around good guy), for creating such a wonderful and super high quality tool!

Joe:
Congrats on your purchase! I have TNT #14 small. I sent it back to Tom to make the tip pointier. The knife is very similar to the Sebenza but you will find that the finish that Tom puts on the titanium doesn't scuff at all. How do you like the clip? I found mine hard to get over the seam on my jeans pocket. I also have a medium Moa recurve on order, look on his website under TNT other variations. How do you like the thumbstuds? Usually Tom puts a hole to open the blade. I ordered the Moa with the thumbstud as I find that I have to dig for the hole. Smooth nice working knife! Talonite is great and Tom is a great guy to do business with. I will post a picture of my small when I get it back and a picture of the Moa in a few weeks. The medium is a nice compromise between the small and large Sebenzas. Nice knife!

Scott; I have no problem with the pocket clip. Maybe the clip is larger on the standard size allowing it to slide over the seam easily. The thumb studs work well. I have thumb studs or disks on all my knives with the exception of one Spyderco, so I guess I'm just used to them. I will probably request a thumb hole on my next TNT, as that is how I would have ordered it had I gotten it directly from Tom.

Regards,
Joe

You know the more I see those TNT's the more I want to order one.

Congratulations Joe and Tom. Let us know what you think of Talonite as a blade material. For the tasks I have put mine to I have been very impressed.
