Here is a pic of my first Custom knife.

It is a 10" Spearpoint in CMP 10V, heat treated by Paul Bos and made by a real gentleman, Doug Mondt. The thickness is slightly over 1/4 inch and the handles are black G-10 as far as I can see from the pic. The sheath will be a nice leather number with a pouch for a multi-tool and a ammo holder style device for my 'AA' Mag-Lite.

I have not recieved this knife yet, but it is all paid for and I am waiting eagerly for her! Just thought I would share. Cheers Doug! You made it so easy and non-threatening to get the knife I wanted. Perhaps if anyone is interensted I will do a story step buy step on what is involved in getting a custom knife and how easy it really is? I had heard so many stories in the custom world of prices going up and up and up as well as the product not being as described and long waiting times. I was very lucky to get a maker like Doug who cares about his customers and wants them to be happy (not to mention a heat treat by Paul Bos! You know, the chap who makes ATS-34 so amazing in Strider knives!). I know now there are other makers here that are also brilliant, but I am very pleased this all went so smoothly.

Wayne,

Welcome to the world of customs. It is all downhill from here my friend.

Regards,

Ed

Oh I duno!;) I am trying to get hold of a wood inlay small Sebenza in Spiral Damascus. I have to say that is quite a nice production piece!

Ed I know both of these knives are missing a vital element that you like so much, but what the heck! Not everthing can be an auto can it? Hmmmmm, perhaps it can?:p

Thanks!
