I am picking up my first custom on Wednesday. It was made for me by Charlie Porter. I love this knife.

<img src="http://home.earthlink.net/~zknives/_uimages/Friend_3.jpg" border="0" alt="">
Made from 8670 carbon steel
14" overall length
8" blade
6mm thickness
Bead blast finish
Black micarta handle

The false edge is sharpened.

It is going to go to Darrell Lewis for a Boron Carbide coating soon.

Charlie has a web page at:

www.gloryknifeworks.com

This is one of his swords on Laci's page

http://www.szaboinc.com/index1.html

He also makes trainers for Laci Szabo

Charlie is a great guy. He got me into Martial Bladecraft and I have enjoyed it a lot.

Holey Big Bowie Batman!
That is a beauty. Looks like its movin' while sittin' still

Nice blade, you made a good investment.
Do you think the Boron coating has merit?
What are they charging? Can it be done with the scales in place?

....about the Boron coating...???

I have the Boron Carbide coating on several other knives it is great.
I don't have the exact cost yet. The handle scales must be removed for coating. This is no big deal as they are removable.

The cost for coating this knife with both Chromium and Boron Carbide
will be $35.00 plus shipping. For just Boron Carbide the cost would be$24.00 Hope this helps

I am definately sending it to him. The price is great. I am ging to get the multilayer coating. I love the straight Boron Carbide coating. I have two LCCs that are the same except for the coating. The BC blade holds up a lot better than the old coating. I also have the BC coating on a MT Combat Talon 2, a L-UDT, and a Option 2. The Combat Talon shows no wear after being fired hundreds of times.

Congratulations on a heck of a nice knife form an excellent maker.

I am going to call her Lady MacBeth. :D

Charlie went to a lot of truble for me. He got the knife just right. Mine has a different handle with palm swells that are nice to hold and provides a great grip.

Thanks for the compliments everyone.
