I've been collecting knives for many years, buying every kind of stuff, mostly production knives and lately some historic / ethnic pieces.
I've always thought of buying a custom, but always decided to wait.
Until yesterday.
Actually I didn't buy the knife: it's my wife's christmas present :)
It's a Jason Jacks liner lock folder with anodized titanium liners, carbon fiber scales, mosaic damascus bolsters (all affixed with Torx screws) and a nice damascusa blade that, when open, creates a shape that reminds me a slender fish, thanks also to the peculiar pattern of the carbon fiber scales which, instead of the usual "woven" pattern, forms a sort of fish scales...
The knife is very well built, with tight tolerances, perfectly polished surfaces and a very smooth action, but first and foremost it's incredibly sharp!
I'm used to sharpening my knives at a razor edge, but this one dwarves anything I've ever seen!
I tried to cut paper and the blade glided thru the sheet in such a way that it left me speechless.
Rubber was cut leaving a cut surface perfectly polished and glass like!
I'm very happy with this knife!
Now that the Demon has caught me, I think this one is going to be the first of a LONG series :D :D :D

Does anybody know more of this great maker?

Don't know much besides I think he's from Texas.

Sounds like you've started out with a real winner!...and it's just the begining! :)

Wow, looking at those knives on that web site, it looks like Jason makes some very nice knives. I can understand why you seem so happy.

Really nice knives!
As soon as my home PC is online again I'll try to post some picture :)
I'm really happy indeed!
I bought a knife I could use, too, but now I'm a little afraid of spoiling part of its finish...
I'd hate seeing a scratch on those gorgeous mosaic damascus bolsters...
Or on the glass like finish of the clip, for what matters... :(
But what's a knife if you don't use it to cut?
It's not just the money I paid for it, it's getting a scratch on the surface so painstakingly polished...
What would you do?

Use it!! As you said, if a knife isn't for cutting, what good is it? Customs are the epitome of knives (to me), why wouldn't you use it for what it was designed to do?

Alarion, I'm glad you like Jason's knife. I've always noticed them as being unique and thought one might be worth a try but never heard too much about him. Maybe one of his pieces is in my future...

I would also reccomend using the knife. Since I'm not a collector, more of an accumulator, I find that if I have a beautiful and expensive knife I don't use I start to wonder why I have it just taking up space and start to think about selling it for more practical and useable knives. Today I'm carrying a fully fileworker, blue and gold annodized DDR Mini Madd Maxx. I know if it gets hosed up I can send it to Darrel to be refurbed..

Have fun!

Thanks guys...I haven't seen much of his work. Boy he's got that re-curve thing smokin'! Thanks for the website and the information....appreciated!

Thank you! I'll surely follow your advice. After all, I just can't have a knife and don't use it! :D
