So, before i got crazily into knife collecting/knowledge/maintenance i had liked knives. I liked the designs, complexity of some, usefulness and somewhat of a cool factor when i was younger. My first decent knife was a CRKT M16-03 with aluminum handles and an AUS-8 plain edge. It's always been my favorite knife and it shows in the pocket clip wear, handle wear and blades edge (or how much metal has been removed from lol). My first multi tool was a Buck Bucktool 360, and i missed that thing so much. I recently posted a question in the multi-tool forums asking where i could get a new one or close to new and freedoom was nice enough to offer and send me his that he wasnt using! I'm glad to have it back, and although not my original, it replaces it just fine and brings back so many memories. Now, if i could just track down an M16-03! I hate the new autolawks, or i would just settle for one of those, and i don't want to go removing springs and such, i just want the original. But that's a no go, because i've looked. How many of you, no matter how crappy your first decent knife was, are attached to it and no matter what, feel that you can put your all into it? I used that CRKT for everything under the sun, and suprisingly, i seem to baby my more expensive, better blades more than i did that, and it survived just fine. No chips in the edge, some tip damage but it was easily fixed, a little oil here and there and its still around. But i've retired it.
