I just ordered my first Delta Z. It is one of the closeouts offered on their web site (a DZ 6101 HC). I was looking for a pocket style knife to simply keep in my motorcyle jacket. I always carry a belt knife and boot knife anyway.

The Delta Z looked like a great value. It also gives me the opportunity to pull out a non threatening knife, for utility chores, if necessary.

I am not usually crazy about 440A steel, but what the hell!

440A is a good reliable steel. Keep it sharp and it will handle common cutting chores just fine.
At the opposite end of the spectrum, check out our DZ-6180-AN "Skeleton Knife" (as seen on the forums home page this month), it has:
T9MOV Industrial Stainless Steel from France with Vanadium.
Hard Black Chrome coating, with Teflon¨ overcoat.
Rubber coating over black anodized skeletonized aluminium handle.
Other knives we carry use blade steels of: 440C, Z60CDV14, W.Nr.1.4116, AUS-8A, and coming in 2002 some knives with BG-42 and some hybrid metals still in R&D.
Thanks for checking in and enjoy your new tool.

Just wanted everyone to know that I just received my DZ 6101 HC from Delta Z. Really a great knife (and a super special deal) The quality is super and the knife is really good looking. Had a chance to speak to the guys at Delta Z also, and they seem like good people. Thanks.
