A shooting buddy of mine asked me to make him a dressed up dagger.

He saw a block of Box Elder Burl that I had, and fell in love on the spot. He insisted on having a dagger with such a handle.

He loves damascus, and wanted me to use an Onyx stone in it.

I used double twist Thunderforge damascus on this one.

The onyx stone on the butt of the dagger. I also hammered his initials in the guard. (He's gonna love that detail :naughty: )

Guard is made of " Neusilber" (don't know the English name), with some very subtle filework. He didn't want me to overdo it.

I have to ask him if he wants both edges sharpened, or just one.

That sure is a unique assortment of colours, layers and textures.
I have never seen anything like that "Box Elder Burl", I'm going to have to look it up to understand more. It definately contrasts the damascus, Nice work. :)
