I just received my first Emerson today...the CQC-10. I really like the blade shape; I'm not a fan recurves so when I had the chance to get this one I jumped on it. I've always wanted to see first hand what Emerson was all about. First thoughts were all good...nice and sharp, solid lockup, good weight, wave feature is damn cool, combo stonewash/satin blade finish is sweet. The only thing I find a little odd is the different thickness in the liners..the locking liner is the thicker one. The bottom line...I like it and will keep it!

Awesome Blade! My first Emerson was a Super CQC-8 which I carry everyday. I am about to get my first Custom Emerson which is a Super Roadhouse. Feels like Christmas is coming early.
 
Love the 10. I believe it is one of the most versatile designs. I have a 2007 model that is going strong and takes abuse like an Iraqi prisoner. :eek:

I actually replaced my EDC for the last 10 months (ZT0551) with the CQC-10. That's saying something if you ask me. This thing is awesome!
 
Mine isn't anywhere near as pretty as canadiantrailman's, but I love mine just as much. It's been my regular EDC for about three years now, #1150.
 
The CQC-10 is just amazing. It is my first and only Emerson (so far?). It is right up there for me, along with the Spyderco Military RIL and the Benchmade 806!

The 10 is so good I sold my first then ended up buying another later. It's my fav since its the only one without a thumb disc - I personally find that the thumb disc causes me to miss about 1/3 of wave openings.
 
Can you flick it open with your thumb? I like it very much; its like a mini CQC11

Nice pic! The 10 probably has the most comfortable handle out of any knife I handled-- and it doesn't even look like it's comfortable. I gave mine away but damn it was a fine knife
 
Sold mine last year and I've been kicking myself in the ass ever since. I eventually replaced it with a cqc 7 (and love it) but I need more Emersons. Down to either a Roadhouse or another 10. decisions decisions.
 
Welcome to the addiction. Love the stonewash/satin finish also. I was anti-recurve myself but so many here sang the praises of the mini Commander I ordered one and love it.
