I got my first Emerson yesterday, and I love it!

I'm usually more of a Sebenza guy when it comes to folders. But I wanted a more SD/tactical oriented knife, and after looking at several different companies and models, I ended up with the Emerson CQC 12. I went with the 12 because of the no-nonsense design, the frame lock and the big secure handle. This is my first waved knife, and I think I'll need to practice a bit more as I can't open it all the way every time yet (I even cut myself once, and found out it's as sharp as most spyderco's  ). Locks up like a vault with no blade play, though I was expecting that at this price ;)

I was expecting a stonewashed finish on the lock side, and was pleasantly surprised to see a nice and grippy bead blasted finish. It looks like I got a pretty low serial number too, # 0067  Anyway, enough talk, here are the pics:

Its the best knife Ernie makes IMO and you got ya a low serial number to boot. Nice score.

Yeah, that one is really nice.

I love the handle shape and the Bowie blade of course. It's the one that's inspired by the Kalashnikov bayonet isn't it?
If i got a hold of a left handed one, I could seriously make a deal..

The 12 is a superb knife, it wont let you down.

Congrats on scoring an early low numbered one too :)

Thanks :) The number doesn't really matter all that much to me though, as this one is a user. Still, it doesn't hurt, and it was cool getting one with the bead blasted ti instead of the stonewashed finish :D

Beautiful, do let me know if that has a twin brother or sister that I could purchase.

I bought it from newgraham.com. It looks like they're out of satin finish, but they do have some black bladed ones (both plain edge and combo edge).
