So far, I really like the CQC 13. Im a small guy and have small hands, and my hands fit the knifes handle very well. I love the bowie blade shape. Plenty of belly for cutting. Chisel grind was very sharp out of the box, but I prefer V-grinds, so I gave it a V-grind. This is my first knife with the Wave feature. G10 is grippy enough for my use. I added a lanyard to aid the extraction of the knife. I like the fact that the screws are standard flat heads and Philips. Very easy to take down to clean or whatever.
I bought the knife off of the exchange. The blade was offcenter when I got it. Easy fix. The pivot also liked to come loose after flicking and waving the knife open. I Teflon taped the pivot screw and now it is perfect. The black finish shows a little wear, but I dont care. This is a user.
The knife takes a nice edge. 154cm holds a decent edge for me. I mostly use the knife for cutting tape, paper, taking down cardboard, and cutting paracord. Far from hard use, but the knife works very well in these tasks for me.
Overall, this is a nice knife. Yeah, it had a few of the problems of Emersons out of the box, but nothing you cant fix yourself. I think I need more Emersons.
