My first Emerson/Karambit

I finally received my first Emerson in my mailbox today. I found a bull nose Karambit for a reasonable price here on BF.

The good:
Fast deployment, usable EDC blade shape and legal

The Bad:
Sticky lock

I asked in a thread if we would ever see the
CQC-7, Bull Nose or Commander Karambit again?

A few weeks ago the Emerson Rep said "we will do runs when we can" and they would need more than two peoples interest.

Today, I get an email that the CQC-7 Karambit is in stock again. I wish he could have just simply stated they would be available again in two weeks. I would have just waited and purchased a new one. I still may purchase the cqc-7 model but a heads up would have been appreciated.

Wow! You know that saying "You're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't!" Apparently I can't please everyone. At that time I was telling you the truth. It's been 3 weeks and a lot has happened since then. I also said in the thread to check the website from time to time for updates and notifications. I was also relaying information that was given to me. Please don't imply that I was lying to you. My job is to moderate this forum. I do what I can, when I can. I am one person. I'm sorry that a few weeks ago I didn't have the information you wanted. I am not at EKI everyday and the family was also out of town for 2 weeks on vacation.
 
I'm with ER on this. EKI is a small business and I know for certain that he is telling the truth when he says that he's not at EKI all the time.

On a side note, the subforum has made a turn for the better since ER joined imo. He's doing a heckuva job IMO.
 
Maybe I jumped the gun by assuming the ER would have had known that they were coming. I didn't call him a liar and would not have had any knowledge of how often he was at EKI. By following his advice is how I even knew they were back in stock. I got the knife I was after and a few other EKI kbits so I am in fact pleased at the end of the day.
I would like to know if the CQC-7 karambit is an actual run or if it was NOS from a prior run? The reason I ask is that I was told that 40 or so were leftover from 07 and this is not a new run. I just wanted to see if that was accurate?


I recently purchased a trainer and super Kbit as well.
 
Im definitely in the market for one of those fixed karambits. Don't know about a folder version but I've never handled one of emersons.
