I must have had my head in the sand for the past few years.. I knew about Emerson knives, but really didn't pay ANY attention to them.. not sure why.

After a few days of research I decided to get a Mini -15. It arrived and I must say I am mad at myself for missing out on these fine knives for all these years. The knife is a wonderful EDC, and it really is a solid knife. The fit and finish is no Sebenza, but it is a super solid knife. I can honestly say, It is the first knife that I swear the designer made the handle for my hand. the ergos, balance of the knife are second to none. I really like the chisel grind and it is a piece of cake to sharpen. My knife came flawless, lock up, centering, smooth as silk, no blade play..

I am sure I will be picking up a couple more in the future. I think I want to go bigger.. I think the Mini 15 captures the best of the Commander and the CQC-7. I gotta figure out which is next.. That will be the fun part.

On the business side, I really respect that they have stayed true to their principles. For any of you that have owned and run your own business, you know along they way there are always temptations to step outside and try something new. This has happened to me, and I can tell you it always best to stay true to what you believe. I respect CRK for the same reason. We all know neither use super steels, and yet both companies are going strong. This 154cm is good enough for me all day long..

Great to hear that you are enjoying your Mini-15, Harley. May I suggest a Roadhouse next? It sounds perfect for a Harley rider. :)

Thanks for the suggestion... I will look into the Roadhouse.

I REALLY am liking this mini-15. Just something about this knife.. the balance, ergos, blade shape all in one..I really like the grippy G10..

I had to cut something today.. It was a delicate cut, and I simply used the tanto end it sliced right thru.. cool knife..

The regular 15 is the last Emerson knife I picked up. I love the knife too, it's become my most used and carried EKi so far (next to the 7 I got in 2004).

Im having a hard time believeing you got one. We're gonna need some pics. :D

I love the regular 15, its been my only carry since the secind I got it.

I sold my mini CQC 15 and regret it. I think I'm going to pick up a Journeyman when I can find one in stock. Emerson really does make some great knives that begged to be used and not stored away.
