So,
I have been mulling this over for days and I still can't seem to make up my mind. When I first heard of Emerson it was in a video from one of my favorite youtubers Nutnfancy and that began hours of reading and research. From the first few thoughts I gathered from the knives and the maker it seemed to be over priced and lackluster for the price but then I was changed by I few things. I am a military member and when I read about the SARK that was contracted by the Navy and the knife designed by the Ernest for use on the space shuttle and ISS I was impressed. Many items are claimed to be up to military specs or military "like" but this is a bona fide military test and proven product. Clearly this will be an item I carry with me on duty to many things but I also want to carry this with me in the civilian world and not intimidate everyone that I meet or may use the blade around. There are a few models that I have been looking ate and that have caught my eye but know its time to make the choice. I will list the ones I am thinking about and then tell you my doubts about each.
1. Emerson CQC-10: The shape is good to cut a sandwich or slice someone up if it needed to. I just wonder if it looks to mean as I was saying before.
2. Endeavor: I am partial to the thumb whole only because I like the feature on Spyderco knives but I have had the thumb disk on a knife before and didnt have a problem.
3. A-100: I like the simplicity of this and the straightforward design but I wish it were waveable.
4. CQC-7AW: This one is growing on me and seems to have all the ideas incorporated into one little package but Im still not sure.
Let me know what you think and any ideas that may be coming to mind. One thing I would like to know is how well the blade coating wears. Thanks for your time and reading of this post.
