I purchased a Super CQC7 for a great price.
I am more impressed than I thought I would be. I can see which company had a ton of influence on many Cold Steel designs.
As advertised, it really does feel like a tough, sharp tool/weapon. It is definitely not a "looker" like the awesome Manix XL, but fit and finish doesn't really seem to be a relevant thing to dwell on with this knife. I love the strong lock-up and the long handle. This would be a great back-up knife to deploy with.
One minor criticism: The handle slabs/back spacer seem to attract lint and fibers like crazy. The only way I was able to make some progress was with Scotch tape.
I ran an oily Q-tip through the liners and half the Q-tip cotton stuck to the inside of the (rubbery?)back spacer. It took me 15 minutes to remove the cotton with tweezers and tape.
I have cleaned many different folders, and have never experienced this before.
What do you recommend when cleaning?
