I have a lot of experience with knifes but not Emerson and no one has any that I can handle. I've been tossing around these three knives for a while now.

CQC 10
Horseman
Mini-Commander

It will see some duty use, EDC use, and just add to my collection in general.
Which one should I start with?

My first two Emersons are coming soon. One is a Mini Commander.
I want a CQC-10 and a CQC-8 also.:D

I currently have two Emersons. I just like the blade shape of the horseman. I think any Emerson will serve you well. Horseman gets my vote.

Any one of the three would be great as a first Emerson. I think whichever blade shape you feel will best meet your daily cutting needs is the determining factor. I've got a 10 and love it. Very utilitarian blade, big enough but not too big.

i walked down that road and decided on the mini com, no real reason, just looked nice to me

Which one should I start with?

I would go with the most basic handle of the 3. Of those 3 I would go with the CQC10. Excellent blade geometry and length for just about any chore and the handle appears to be the longest of the 3. With that said, if there was a way you could handle the knives in person that would be best.

soooooooo... today i gave up, and order a CQC 10. I'm sure I will love it.
Let us know what you think of the 10, when she comes in.I have my eye on one, for my next purchase. Either the 10 or the Horseman.

In build and utility you really can't go wrong with any of the three. The only thing might be handling comfort. I think you'll be happy with the 10. Definitely let us know whatcha think of it!
