My first ESEE came today!!

Got home from work today to a nice surprise in the mail. I had never heard of ESEE until I went to the BLADE Show in June. I live just outside Atlanta and this is the first time I was able to go. Well, the knives really stood out to me in my 5 hours of wandering around and I kept returning to look at them. Didn't make many purchases that day (except an oyster knife by D. Manley from SC). I started reading bladeforums shortly thereafter. I pre-ordered one of the HEST folders but didn't want to wait until December to get my hands on an ESEE knife. I started out small and ordered an IZULA. I'm hooked........

This will be the first of many, I can tell....

Congrats. New guy here too. I think the Izula is the gateway knife to more ESEEs. I'm already planning to buy one for my son and perhaps something a little bigger for pappa!
 
Congrats on your Izula. I just got mine today in OD along with a HEST from New Graham. I am equally impressed with them both. Get a HEST when you get the chance. You won't regret it.
 
Its a great moment opening that parcel with the Izula enclosed huh? Got mine last week. Love it. It goes everywhere with me. If my funds will allow, the HEST will be on the way very soon, to meet the Izula. Congrats, and Enjoy.
 
I just heard of ESEE within the last week myself. I knew of RAT Cutlery of course! I will be augmenting my collection soon!!
 
You should get an ESEE-3 next! or a 4...or 6....or...see addicting! Congrats man, cord-wrap that thing in coyote brown, SWEET
 
I agree that the Izula must be the ESEE gateway knife. The mailman dropped my tan one off today (along with my Spydie Ladybug, from KSF Thanks Derrik & Wendy!) and I already have an OD Izula Kit, and a -3 on order. I'm eyeballing a H.E.S.T. and maybe a -5...

Is there like a support group or something? :P

Yes a support group has been mentioned. (more than a few times) My gateway knife from ESEE was my Jungulas. If you want to watch someones knees get wobbled when they pull one of those out of its sheath-dungon get one for a suprize gift. Mine freeked me out after I felt the edge on that bad boy, and the cooler thing is.!!! after wackin it in the woods for about a month now,Its Still shaving sharp!!! It just won't go dull. Either I have a weird knife? or ESEE has the worlds best heat treating. And my 6 *2nd ESEE knife is acting just as weird. GO BIG.... *its fun* Enjoy. edgy :thumbup:

I don't know yet. Gonna leave it the way it is for now. As it gets closer to deer season I'm gonna see how I can strap it to my hunting pack. May wrap it then...
