My first ESEE, Izula can't wait!

Hey all, I ordered my first ESEE several days ago and it's supposed to be here in the mail today! I think I'm going to wear the hinges out on my mailbox checking to see if its come in yet. :D

I have a question regarding the Izula. I like to swim and fish a lot in the summer, and I'm quite aware these little knives are well-prone to rust. If I am in the drink swimming for several hours with my knife, if I clean and oil it after I'm done with it, will it still rust? I really don't mind a little patina, I just don't want to compromise the strength of the knife.

It will take years to compromise the structural integrity from rust. After getting it wet - wipe dry and oil - I used mineral oil.
 
Thanks guys, just got it a couple hours ago. I ordered it with the scales. IMO they make all the difference. This is a terrific little knife! I can see why they're so popular now.
