Hi folks,

I recently received the tan Izula/kit with scales... and have been thinking...
is it just me or does the pinky finger feel a bit out of place with the scales attached?

I feel that way even with just a paracord wrap. It doesn't bother though because its a small knife and I do not use it for long periods of time.

I usually put my pinky through the hole on to get extra grip...I like the scales and wouldn't want full handle scales.

I didn't like the partial scales for that reason. Maybe I didn't give them enough time but I really prefer the full scales on the Bravo necker or a cord wrap on the Izula. Everyone's different though.

I'm sure a full coverage scale would feel better than the abbreviated scales now available. But the added weight of full scales would push the Izula out of the comfortable neck knife category for me, defeating its purpose...for me. I do have the bikini scales and they are growing on me, but there's just something about a naked Izula:D

I do the same thing, is gives a great grip on the knife. I agree I would not want full scale handles.

The weight issue is a good point. I forget the numbers but IIRC the Izula with the partial scales and factory sheath was lighter than the Bravo necker, factory sheath and full G-10 scales.
It seems to me that the Izula is easy to get used to in a variety of configurations.
