Oh boy, a package from Cumberland Knife Works arrived today and it contained my first ESEE knife.. an ESEE-4. This is going on my pack for my backpacking adventures although there are a few other ESEE knives teasing me as well.

The ESEE 4 is one comfortable knife in hand. Hope you enjoy it, we'll need "in use" pictures asap!

Nice man! May I suggest an Izula II or an EsKabar as an EDC? That's what I would suggest.

Been playing with the blade here this evening quite a bit, truly an awesome piece of steel. The only issue I have, and this is very minor, is I wish there wasn't the velcro strap on the MOLLE back. I would have much preferred a snap here. However, it is something I can live with. Only in serious snow will it be a problem for me. Thanks to everyone at ESEE for this great blade. Looking forward to heading out into the woods with it.

Sweet. I also have a strong hankering for my first ESEE buddy. It'll happen after I finnish buying all the Beckers that I want...I didn't say need, I'm past that point. :D If you want to modify a factory sheath fairly cheaply, go to a small shoe repair shop. They don't charge much, and will take the time to do EXACTLY what you want.

Tobit, you make a good point about the Velcro. The main reason we use it is to hold costs down and snaps also cause a problem in the wet jungle environments that we haunt. But again, it's feedback from users such as yourself that helps us make a better product.

welcome to the club. i joined about a week and a half ago with a 3mil, shortly follow by an izula, and as of today an esee-5. you might want to shred your credit cards now before its too late.

Go ahead and cancel them too, in case you have the number memorized or auto-saved at your seller of choice. :D

Very nice, I have a question about the mole sheaths, Is there a belt loop on the Sheaths?

Welcome. My obsesion started last week. One HEST down, 3-MIL on it's way. And eyeballing the 5. This is worse than GLOCKS.....
