Howdy Yall,
I've never posted in this subsection before (I don't think at least), but just wanted to share my wonderful first experience. I do not own any Hinderer knives yet, but based on my first experience I definitely will. To begin, as they say, in the beginning, I had been browsing around and debating the merits of having a lanyard on my current EDC knife, and finally decided that I wanted to give it a try. I looked around, mostly in the EDC post in the general section, and decided the Hinderer lanyard beads looked the best for what I wanted, so I placed an order for a single stainless bead directly from their site. I really was not expecting much, not because I held low standards from Hinderer, but because I ordered a single item, it was one of the cheapest items (if not the cheapest) on their site, and because I wasn't a regular customer, yet at least. It arrived this morning and I was actually far more impressed than I expected I would be. The lanyard pull is very nice and exactly what I was expecting, but that wasn't really the source. First, it arrived very very quickly and was nicely packaged. When I opened the box I found a neat little bag with a sticker and two smaller bags- each with a bead in them. I don't know if its standard to include two or just something extra that was tossed in, but I certainly wasn't expecting it. Even more impressive than that (though I was very happy to receive twice what I was expecting) was the level of care in such a small order. Everything was neatly and individually packaged, they included a very cool sticker (that will soon join my CRK sticker on my Nalgene), and packaged and sent my little $10 order with far more pride and care than I would have ever guessed. It definitely means something to me at least to see that a busy manufacturer still takes pride in taking care of literally the smallest of the small customers!
Experiences like this definitely reaffirm my desire to one day add a XM-24 to my collection, and bump it to the top of my current grail list. These folks definitely have impressed me, and I know that I'll definitely be coming back to them in the future- hopefully for something a little sharper next time!
