My only experience with GEC is my Bullnose and I love it. I've since found that I really like Jacks with their pen blades, and after some experimenting with smaller jacks and some soul searching I've decided on this guy. I'm hoping it will be my long term EDC. It won't be here 'till Monday...the agony...

The #76 Outlaw is one of my favorite patterns! Mine is in Cocobolo.
Congrats on buying a great GEC.

Good choice, Groove. I really like that yellow bone.

Nice pick-up Grove! I dig that pattern myself, the yellow
looks pretty darn good. Congrats...

Very nice! The yeller is stunnin  You have made an excellent choice for a long term edc

That's a knockout Groove!!!!! Very nice. Be sure to post pics when you get it.

If only I love the looks of a gec, especially such a stunning spectacle of a knife.

That's a grand looking folder there. I think you'll really enjoy it. Jack knives are excellent for those traditionalist seeking a sort of general use knife. They can handle a wide array of task IMHO. The new #76 looks quite interesting, though I haven't seen one in the flesh, yet.

That's a looker, for true!

Good on you for going for it. I hope you like it even more than you hope you will. :)

I look forward to your pictures and impressions.

There's a Texas man's knife if I ever saw one! Any of the GEC offerings in this color and with the rose shield are great. That gunstock pattern is a winner. Therefore, you are, congratulations are in order!

GEC knives are my favortie tradtional knife brand... the brand that I have chosen to collect. I mainly collect them but I also have a Bullnose, as well as a small Bulldog USA jack-knife made by GEC. I sometimes carry these two knives (I mostly carry a more tactical style knife), but on both patterns I have noticed that the middle of the blade will make contact with the backspring when in the closed position. As a result of this the edge of the knife gets bent/chipped. Just wondering if anyone else has observed this problem. I am definately NOT BASHING GEC AT ALL, I LOVE GEC, and will continue my collection of the burnt/natural/genuine stag knives!!!

 I was looking hard for one of those, but finally fell in love with the copperhead bone. So thats the way I went on the 76. Hoping to influence the BF knife this year to lighter scales like this yellow rose, or antique ivory micarta. We shall see.
