Received my first Fiddleback last week, a Bushcrafter. Took it out this morning and carved a spoon out of a piece of Poplar that I had in my garage. All I can say is, a picture is worth a thousand words.

The knife is beautiful and highly functional, came with a great sheath too by Heber. Thanks Andy, now I have to get more.

jmoh200, I like the lanyard. It adds a nice touch and can also help with knife retention while the knife is in the sheath. I saw you have not been able to reply to mctrinket's question concerning the grind, so I thought I help. No offense meant for chiming in. :)

I have several FB knives that have the same grind. The knife has what Andy calls a, "a convex sabergrind." The convex profile begins below the flats that have the 3D Spalting.

Thanks Maw, didn't see the question till this morning. The grind is very well done and is a nice combination that allows for a strong spine + the ability to get the blade down to an acute angle on the cutting surface.

The lanyard is a must for me, not only does it help to draw the knife from the pouch sheath, but does aid in retention when your working with it.
