This Smith and Wesson knife was my first fixed blade it was a gift from my dad when I was 13 20+ years ago. I killed my first deer that year and used it for many years after that in Boy Scouts and for hunting. Eventually it was replaced with better knives and has been sitting around for quite a while. Now my oldest son is 13 and I have given it to him today just in time for deer season. If anyone can tell me about it I would love to know a bit about it. My dad thinks it came with a pistol he bought in the early 80's but he dose not remember. On the opposite side of the blade it says Stainless and Made in USA. The close up pic is to show the ducks engraved on the blade sorry for the bad pics.

Well Im not an expert but it has been a good knife holds an edge well. Id like to know who made it and such....

Don't quote me on this, but I believe Schrade made the S&W knives..

Great gift, you're giving! I'm sure he'll love it

Yes he was very excited. He hadn't seen it before and really liked the ducks LOL. Man I'm getting old still remember when my dad gave it to me thought the thing was huge!

I don't know who made it; I think Schrade is a very good guess, but I am pretty sure that is a Ducks Unlimited knife, often raffled off as fundraiser prizes for that worthy cause.
