I just ordered my first fixed blade after going on a folder buying spree for a couple of months. I ordered a Busse Hell Razor with an urban grey blade finish and a G10 handle. I wanted to keep the the look of the knife kinda plain so I wouldn't be scared to actually use the knife. I'm really looking forward to getting the knife in my hands. I'm sure it will last me a lifetime. BTW does anyone know how long the wait is for a Busse?

Exactly two weeks. (Snorf... sorry inside joke)

The knife is still on the website so odds are that they haven't started making them yet. The best way to gauge is that they will charge your credit card just prior to shipping. Also the type of coating that you ordered may delay your blade because of production. The more realistic estimate is anywhere from 8-12 weeks.

Wow lots of good makers. BuyBrown, Okuden, Normark, Survival Sheath, Semper Paratus. I own or have handled sheaths from all of these makers. Top notch stuff. However it's all kydex. I don't know about leather so I'll let others chime in here. BTW great choice of blade.

That too is my first blade. Good choice I think.
That is the understatement of the year. You guys WILL be blown away by how much it can take.
Congrats.

Below is a link to the Busse recommended sheath maker pages.

All of the makers mentioned make excellent sheaths, and it is really just a question of personal preference.

I have several sheaths for Busse knives made by Dwayne Puckett and David Brown, and I love both makers work.

After reading about the INFI and researching Busse knives I was very interested. After I saw the Hell Razor I just couldn't stop myself. This is going to be an amazing knife.:D

Congrats gents,
I have many fixed blades but no Busses and it should also be known that even though i say congratulations, i am actually downright bitter with envy. Not really, but it would be nice if someone would actually humor us starving students and start a thread talking about how what a terrible human being Jerry Busse is what poor quality the knives are at least until we're ready for the truth. On the plus side I'll be done with my second degree in a little over 3 months and I've decided that a Busse is an adequate graduation gift for myself, afterall whats a couple of hundred bucks extra added to my tab? Anyway, congrats again, keep me posted on how she handles when you get it.

Damn! I wish I had learned how to pick the quality knives that fast. Revolutionary, I think you have set some kind of record in rapidly learning how to pick the good ones. In my case I bought a lot of mediocre to low quality knives, and after a couple of years of reading Bladeforums finally gained a little bit of knowledge on how to choose good ones.

My first fixed blade was a Chris Reeve Shadow 7”. It saves you a lot of money finding quality right from the beginning, and costs you a lot of money seeing as quality tends to cost.
