Somehow I never bouight a fixed knife, so never tried to make sheat for one, but a customer wanted one for his Nessmuk so I have got my chance . He wanted simple sheat, showed me a picture , and I made a sheat which is pretty similar to his picture, following a Sheatmakers tutorial on this forum(thanks Paul again) Just simple one like I needed just that to learn. Please hit with criticism.I also wanted to ask is it okay to leave one part of welt unstitched ,about an inch or so(marked in blue)(just glued). That left part of welt which is stitched on the right side , but it looked to me that if I stitched that left side it will be somehow to much. That left part of welt is getting narrower when you go to the left side. Could that cause any problems?

Macan that looks nice. What kind of leather is it? Like the grain pattern. I havn't made a lot of those type of sheaths so I'm not to one to answer your question on the stiching. The couple I have made I did stitch the welt all the way though.

Thanks guys.I bought that piece of leather which I beleive is a from shoulder. (it has got wrinkles)That shop has from time to time bigger pieces of leather ( bigger scraps) which are already coloured from both sides. I ve got a friend who's using that leather sometimes for belts ( I made one also) . It could be stiffer, but not bad lookin. For now i have to stick with that.
