I couldn't help but play with it, a lot, before getting around to taking pictures so it has a few little handling marks already. Pretty damn pleased with the results. Not perfect, but closer than I would have guessed it would end up. Swings on phosphor bronze bushings with hardened pivot and stop pins from AKS. Blade heat treated by Brad at Peters. The project was originally conceived to use up some of my little S30V scraps from my cutlery, then I ruined the first blade, and decided to go whole-hog with S110V. When you are used to using up $30 in steel on a big chef's knife, folder blades are nothing!

Great first folder, congrats.
Really like the thick liners, looks cool.
The back bolster fits well on this knife.
Also really dig that spine shot with the solid backspacer.
Nice clean lines.
Cheers

Thanks! For the next one the liner will get thinner for less bulk, AKS had a small piece of 6/4 in this thickness for $11, and this was originally conceived as a fun and cheap little side project. A hundred-something dollars in tools and supplies, and many hours later, this is what I ended up with.

great effort , i like the timber scales , sort of an old meets new with the materials , well done
