Words fail me when it comes to describing this folder, made by Don Hanson. I feel fortunate and remarkably lucky to have found it. I am posting Coop's great image for those who may not have seen it in his thread. Incredible walrus ivory. And the damascus - everything - just makes it flow.

That is one of THE most unforgettable set of scales I have ever encountered. Really an anomaly of nature.

The second Don Bob is referring to, is Don Guild, who offered this up for sale in his bi-yearly explosion of top-quality knives offered for sale.

I am really pleased for you. Once you start messing around with parts that move it gets interesting quickly. :)

And that is exactly what I am afraid of. Like they say, one is never enough, and that becomes monetarily scary.

Thats a great one. I was checking it out at the Blade show and will NEVER forget that ivory. You stumbled across something really really unique! And not bad for a first folder! Not at all! Watch out, its too addicting (as you know)

The ivory on that knife is so unique it takes a moment to move your eyes and appreciate all of the other fine details. Fantastic first folder!!!

Bob,

Congratulations ona super knife. Don Hanson always has great ivory, but that is about as nice as it gets.

Words fail to describe the beauty of this folder.

Bob, be careful before you know it you will want to trade those daggers for something with moving parts;):D

This is probably the most extraordinary pair of ivory scales I have ever seen:thumbup::cool:
