ive been mystified by knives for many years now. and in the past few, have begun to make them as a hobby, for gifts and for myself. i just recently began to sell them to the public.

this knife was a long time in the making and designing. it has been the best achievement of my knifemaking endeavor to date. and ive made many mistakes along the way. for one, ive rebuilt the ti lock 3 times to get it right. i may have gone overboard with the blade, it is 1/4 inch thick cpm154.... its all i had lying around at the time.

OAL 8.5 inches
blade 3.5 inches cpm 154 hrc 60
weight just over 4 ounces
ti liner is .060 thick
bronze bushings
orange g10 scales (mill relieved for lock)
no blade play at all
super tank like feel in the hand
razor sharp

so i rebuilt it so to speak. i now have the blade perfectly centered and the lockbar is easier to disengage. and wow is she smooth!!!!
oh and i reprofiled it a bit and added a swedge ;) . first pic is the before shot.

I think that looks really cool. I would have liked it better without the choil but overall great job. i need to make a flipper someday.

Very nice Peter! this is a real beauty, the handle and blade design complement each other very nicely and really "flow" together making this a very appealing package, the orange scales look real nice too, great color choice.
This one looks tough but still comfortable to use.

Judging from the pics the only real critique I have is the lack of a pocket clip but that's
not really a big deal.

Great looking knife!

i dont have a taping kit yet for a clip. and i never use them anyway. i have 3 other knives on the way, some with forward choil and some without.

ill refine the designs more and more as i go on, the next ones are pretty cool, but my schedule doesnt allow me much time to further them along. so slow as she goes.

I love the whole thing. I imagine I would use a knife like that for a lot of things. On the other hand I would probably cut myself (again). I say keep the choil. I use my folder for notching sticks for the rabbit traps, sharpening pencils, and a lot of other tasks that require a little extra control. I would probably hook my finger in there for control. At least until I cut myself....again.

Boy that is a thick bladed folder, Really like the choil and textured handle. Very easy to find with the orange scales. Well done!

fantastic work!! looks like you took a little inspiration from spyderco and klotzli?

That's killer - did you use the thumb stud as a blade stop for the open position?

That is really cool! I've never seen a folder with a 1/4" thick blade, but what the heck? And I happen to like the choil.

I've never made a folder; I'm strictly a fixed-blade guy myself, but I wouldn't mind giving it a try someday.

Good work!

well it started out as 1/4 inch stock, but after it was all said and done, it hovers around the .2 mark
