Hi all,
I am very new to this field...
Recently started carrying a small chinese pocket carry foldable knife. (SRM707)
Then I thought why not to give a try and make a knife myself!
Toughest challenge was good material. So I decidedto use File as it is as base material.
I got the file reshaped little bit from a roadside ironsmith.
the File costed me 120 INR, and ironsmith charged me 40 INR
Then I shaped it on simple grinder that I had. with a normal iron cutting sand blade with hands...
Then I crafted its handle out from a Sagwaan (Indian Rosewood) block.
I know, its very rough in looks...not finished at all....no touch of machine at all....
But since its my first creation, I liked it! hope you like it too!
More special thing about it is the cost! I spent only 160 Rupees on it! ( roughly 3-4 $)
