Got my first George Muller today. Beautiful gent's folder with top notch materials. This one sports a Damasteel blade in the Heimskringla pattern. George grapevine filed the spine of the blade. Scales are blue Mammoth bark harvested in Alaska. Bolsters are from the 4 billion year old Gibeon meteorite and have been etched very nicely to clearly show the Widmanstatten pattern. Back spacer is Doug Ponzio mosaic Damascus. Finally, the liners have are nicely anodized and grapevine filed on the spine side. Exceptional piece .... but will need to have some adjustments made by Mr. Muller as there is some side-to-side blade play while closing the blade. Some pics ...

Wow - I have almost that exact same knife. Haven't photographed it yet. Beautiful piece!

My problem is I like to get creative with my backgrounds and have difficulty finding time to come up with something different for each image. I have over a hundred knives waiting to have their photo taken now. :( Plus, now I want to step up the quality of my studio work (that thread above sets the bar) and have decided to convert one of the storage rooms in my shop for that purpose.

Hi!

Dennis. thank you for showing a great knife in great images! I've been considering a Müller for a long time, but never bit the bullet. Your images made me finally order one... ;)

How bad is the blade play on yours?

Regards,
Alex

Thanks Alex. I'm just a hack ..... wish I had the talent and lighting equipment to take photos that really do this knife justice. The knife design and materials are absolutely wonderful.

Hi!

Dennis, your images are great the way they are! No need to change anything. I have always liked the absence of extensive PS (HDR is not my cup of tea).

I wonder, if the knife left Müller with the wobbly blade? This makes me a little worried about the quality of the one I just ordered...

Best regards,
Alex
